Please choose the test that you would like to take or try all four! Remember that these tests do not replace professional eye exams. The intent of these tests is to give you an idea if you need corrective eyewear.
To assess if you are nearsighted and need glasses for distance please stand approximately 6 feet from your computer screen and remove any glasses that you may be currently wearing.

If you were able to read all of the letters above you have 20/20 vision, however you may still need glasses for optimal acuity. If you missed any of the letters in this test, it may be an indication you would fail a driver's license eye examination and therefore need glasses for driving.

The test you are about to take should help you pinpoint the reading magnification that you need. Please note that this test assumes that you have 20/20 distance vision.

Astigmatism is a refractive problem, which is corrective with glasses or contact lenses, and generally causes some blur more in one direction than the others. It can also be the cause of headaches and eye fatigue.
Again this is a rough test and you may have astigmatism even if the lines appear equally black. Conversely, you may not have astigmatism if the lines appeared unequally black. Please make an appointment for a professional eye exam to be sure.
This is a quick test you can take that may reveal an eye health problem. For this test you should wear your reading glasses (if you have them) and stay seated at your computer.
While looking at the following grid, please ask yourself the following questions:

This is a good test to perform on a regular basis. Notify your doctor immediately if you had any unusual responses to this test. For anyone who has been diagnosed with a retinal or macular problem, this test should be performed daily to note any changes in your perception of the grid.
